I am an independent travel consultant, Europe a la Carte. I assist clients to plan independent travel in Europe. I have found that the best way to promote my business, in a highly competitive travel market, is to write destination guides, especially to less well known destinations.

I have found that since I published my guides and articles on the Ezine Articles site, that I have been getting a lot more traffic to my site and more bookings for accommodation featured in the guides.

The best thing about promoting your business in this way is that you are not paying for advertising and site optimisation. When I type Guide to wherever into Google I come up first for most of my guides.

It also helps my credibility as an small business that I am perceived as an expert author.
